Thomas’ Faux-prese
Those of you who follow my husband, Thomas, on his instagram know he'southward obsessed with the "Thomas' Faux-prese"
It's been a daily occurrence for the last few weeks and really there'south no end in sight. While summertime might technically exist over simply that doesn't mean the summer produce is going anywhere quite yet. Tomatoes are having a moment and information technology'southward our duty to employ them on a daily footing.
Thomas has taken it upon himself to create this incredibly like shooting fish in a barrel summer salad that I've dubbed the Thomas Faux-prese. It's everything we all love in a caprese salad minus the cheese and plus avocados He'southward been on a wellness kick so the fresh mozzarella has taken a temporary backseat in his globe! I'll acknowledge, I was skeptical the first time he made it for me because I Honey CHEESE… but newsflash information technology's and so skilful!
The creaminess from the avocados is a perfect substitution for the flossy mozzarella and I won't be mad if we accept this on tap on a night ground until tomato season sadly comes to a close!
Thomas' Faux-prese
Recall caprese but without the cheese! This is my husbands spin on the classic summer dish when he's being super healthy just all the same wants those flavour tomatoes + avocado!
Course Salad
Cuisine Mediterranean
- ii ripe avocados pitted and cut into wedges
- 3 heirloom tomatoes cut into wedges
- one pint heirloom cherry tomatoes halved
- Basil leaves
- Maldon salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste
For the dressing
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Maldon common salt & freshly croaky black pepper to sense of taste

Combine the ingredients for the salad on a large serving platter.

Whisk the ingredients for the vinaigrette together. Drizzle over the height and serve
